If however a youth were to combine his strength with setting unselfish priorties like Jesus youths will be happy. Instead of using his potential to be the perfect athlete or any other feat, he cultivated a deep personal relationship with Jehovah and accepted his assignment (Prov 20:29). Charles Taze Russell was one that imitated Christ during his youth setting unselfish priorities. Others such as Nathan Knorr who became President of the Watchtower society at just 36. [ INTERVIEW Exemplary Young people who pursued Bethel service] Use Jehovah's gift of free will, use it to give our all to him and we will be happy and successful (Prov 23: 26). PART 2 Faithful Single Ones ( 1 Corinthians 7:32-35, 37) -- w14 1/15 p. 12 [100 years Kingdom Rule1:50 SYMPOSIUM: Imitate Jesus’ Use of Power Jesus had the power to use his singleness to serve Jehovah more fully, viewing this type of life as "a gift" (Mat 19:11, 12). Those who are single normally have more time to study and meditate and accept a variety of things in Jehovah's service (1 Cor 7:32-4=35). [ VIDEO INTERVIEWS: Three individuals who used their singleness, not for selfish means but in Jehovah's Service] Jehovah loves those that choose to remain single and will bless them (Isaiah 56:4, 5).

Living with a disagreable woman is a frustrating endeavor but a capable wife is precious to her husband and to God (Prov 31:10). Jesus never used his power to benefit himself but deeply desired to help unselfishly and always showed great compassion. - a Godly wife can use her power in support of her husband (communicating the family needs and co-ordinates endeavors, assisting her husband to train the children). She actively supports her husband in his theocratic endeavors even though this involves sacrifices. - A spiritual wife is careful for her demands of material things placing greater emphasis on spiritual goals (1 Tim 6:8) - A wife can use her influence to increase the respect of her husband not trying to dominate but cooperating. [ INTERVIEW Christian couple] Prov 31:17, 12, 28 1:50 SYMPOSIUM: Imitate Jesus’ Use of Power: PART 4 Loving Husbands ( 1 Corinthians 11:3; Hebrews 13:8) -- w14 1/15 p. 12 [100 years Kingdom RuleSadly some of the most powerful men in history have proved to be cruel or unpredictable on a personal level. Jesus however was consistently loving to those closest to him. Jesus loving mental attitude is on deserving of imitation by Christian husbands (compare Heb 13:8). Families that can observe a head that has a regular routine of prayer study and personal study. Jesus exercised his headship in a reasonable way allowiing the family to express their opinions freely (Temple tax). [ DEMONSTRATION: Family discuss weekend activity. Father asks all members for their input, putting aside his own preferences] Rom 12:10b Since most family decisions are a personal matter so take the opportunity to show honour to others. The greatest power is not in controlling others but in controlling yourself (Prov 16:32; 1 Cor 11:3)).

Jesus found time for children even though he had none of his own (Mk 10:14). The most important thing a parent can give to their children are their time, energy and love. These serve as a foundation for helping them grow spiritually counteracting the world's strong influence (believing in god, questioning if there is one true religion, questions about sex and relationships). Use the watchtower tools. [ INTERVIEW Christian parents who explain the effort they made to raise their children in the truth] 1:50 SYMPOSIUM: Imitate Jesus’ Use of Power: PART 6 Kind Elders ( James 5:16) -- w14 1/15 p. 12 [100 years Kingdom RuleJesus had extraordinary power over the elements, money, nature but was always kind (Mat 11: 29) Elders are called "gifts in men" who are commissioned to build up the congregation and have a measure of authority but they must copying Jesus methods and kind manner always relying on the authority of Gods word (Eph 4:8, 12, 32). "become kind" - As an elder what is your reputation? Some need to work prayerfully at being more refreshing. [ DEMONSTRATION: Two elders discuss a shepherding visit. One elder points out the dangers of making comparison] Elders are obligated to give other elders needed counsel since the action of one relects on the whole body of elders. SOLILOQUY: Tired elder arrives at the meeting with negative throughts but resolves to pray before he goes into the kingdom hall so he treats the flock with kindness.

INTRODUCTION: True Christians should never be afraid to identify themselves as Jehovah's Witnessses. Yet some have allowed fear of man to make them so. Peter followed Jesus on the night of his arrest (something that showed a degree of courage) but kept a distance for fear of arrest. All baptised Christians need to examine how closely they are following Jesus. This talk is particularly directed to young one and those with secular jobs but the principles apply to everyone. For youths growing up can be a physically and emotionally challenging time and our teens are subjected on a daily basis to degraded morals and pressures to compromise their faith. This may lead them fall into the snare of " trembling at men" which can snare an individual, incapacitating them (Prov 29:25). - if we start to be more concerned with how another human reacts than we are of how Jehovah feels, then we are in grave spiritual danger. - Do I secretly desire to gain favor with the world
- Do wi want to be friends with those that do not love Jehovah?
- Am I afraid of how others will reacte if they find out I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses ?
The key to freeing ourselves from the snare of "fear of man" is - Have open honest communication with your godly parents - is increasing your love and confidence for Jehovah - Surround yourselves with good association (Prov 13:20) - Identify yourself as early as possible as one of JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES [ VIDEO INTERVIEW: Real life inverview of 3 teens that freed themselves from the snare of fear of man] Being the light the world means letting our conduct should exemplary bringing glory to Jehovah God so as to attract people to the truth, if this is not the case it could lead to Him denying us (Mat 10: 32, 33) APPEAL TO BAPTISED BROTHERSPlease pursue kingdom intrests with zeal. We want to be on Jesus side. Be courageous and identify yourself as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, the angels will take not and use you to help others. CONCLUDING SCRIPTUE Mat 12:30

INTRODUCTION: Many in power refuse to delegate. Jesus by contrast does delegate and train others. Today we are enjoying rapid growth (in the last ten years three million individuals have dedicated themselves to Jehovah) this means there is a great need in many areas. - Elders If you are an elder are you training men to help with congregational responsibilities - Husbands marriages are strengthened when they delegate certain tasks to their wives (Prov 31: 11, 12) - Parents are you willing to entrust your children with responsibilities. JEHOVAH was willing to delegate work tasks to Jesus after giving him (Jesus) proper training ( John 1:3). After the rebellion, Jehovah taught Jesus how to deal with future responsibilities (see Isaiah 50:4). JESUS readily delegated responsibilities and training to his disciples (2 Tim 2:2). Look for individuals that are willing to be taught and be willing to do so. Jesus did not micro-manage his disciples but gave them valuable instructions and information (Lk Chapter 10: 1-16) " I can do it better and it will get done faster" (Lk 9: 40-42) " I'm too busy, I don't have time to train" " I like this task, I prefer to do it myself" (Lk 9:1) HOW DID JESUS DELEGATE 1 Train (Lk 8:1) - Take the learner with you so they can observe your methods, elders can take them on approapriate shepherding calls. - clearly explain what is expected of them (Parents adapt family worship so that instructions are clear) 2. Trust (Luk 2:1; Lk 10:16) - Jesus showed he trusted his disciples alone on an assignment. He did not worry they would fail and cause additional work for him later. - According to the circumstances the trainer may therefore leave the trainee the freedom to decide how a particular 3. Empower - Jesus gave them the tools, resources and power to complete their task (Lk 9:1) [ Video Presentation: Elder (who is somewhat overwhelmed by his tasks, meditates on the value of delegating, conclusion " I don't have to be a superman, I just have to imitate the greatest man"] He wasn't just alleviating unnecessary stress he was investing in the future. Delegation will continue into the new system.

INTRODUCTION Everyone claims to be unique and independent but in fact they are under the control of the ruler of the world. By contrast as God's people we are happy to imitate Jesus and have the mind of Christ and this marks us as different (1 Pet 4:1,2) - What is Christ's mental disposition?
- Why do we need mental disposition?
- How can we aquire dispotition?
What is Christ's mental disposition?A mental disposition is an outlook and a way of thinking and feeling. We will examine the above in three areas: Jesus devotion, conviction, compassion. (Value of repitition) Devotion Jesus was indignant because the moneymakers commercialized pure worship (John 2: 13-17) Conviction Jesus firmly rejected Satan's invitation to compromise his faith (Mat 4:8-10) Compassion Jesus compassion moved him to touch the leper because he appreciated people's needs and was moved to help them (Mat 8: 1-3) [ illustrate: real life experience of the doctor that made a leper weep because he touched his patient for the first time in years] Why do we need Christ's mental disposition?Although we have moved past many of the gross sins listed in the bible, other non disfellowshipable offenses are grouped with serious sins. For example we cannot be disfellowshipped for jealousy but it is a serious offense of the heart. God can end our lives for non-judicial offenses so we must overcome these things (Gal 5: 19-21). To fully please Jehovah we must struggle against "things like these things". How can we acquire Christ's mental disposition? Make an honest effort to follow his steps closely (1 Pet 2:21; Rom 13: 14) . Devotion Are we just as determined to get rid of any materialistic tendencies in our heart? it is not accepting employment that would interfer with ministry and meetings. It is not proper to use congregation meetings for selling or promoting commercial services. also Conviction We need to have our solid reasons for our beliefs (see Rom 12: 1,2). A good research tool for our children and ourselves are the WORKSHEETS > What does the bible teach > jw.org Compassion: We must take the initiative to help those in need (James 2: 15, 16). Instead of saying "If there's anything I can do, just let me know" assess the need and do something! NEW RELEASE: Jesus the way, the truth the life!
