9:20 Music-Video Presentation: SATURDAY Morning09:30 Song No. 44 and PRAYER 9:40 SYMPOSIUM: How Jehovah “Supplies Endurance and Comfort” to . . . INTRODUCTION: Lowly ones can always rightly put their trust in Jehovah but what is our role in assisting the lowly? Are you willing to be used by Jehovah to provide loving care? This symposium will encourage us to come to the aid of those in need and will show us practical ways to do so. Romans 15: 5 says God supplies endurance and comfort. Jesus was given both to Jesus and will give the same to us through encouraging scriptures which boosts us to endure. Jehovah helps us "more than super abundantly" so that we may be able to comfort others (Eph 3:20). We can I encourage others when we ourselves are enduring our own trials because Jehovah gives "superabundantly" (compare 2 Cor 1:4) [/i][/ul] This symposium will show how Jehovah will simultaneously help us while using us to help others:

- PART 1 The Weak and Those Who Are Depressed ( Romans 15:4, 5;; 1 Thessalonians 5:14; 1 Peter 5:7-10 )
The depressed and the weak 1 Thessalonians 5:14 : Physical illness, loss of a loved one, guilt, regret or feelings of worthlessness can all cause temporary or long term depression. Or maybe a result of a long and drawn out complicated series of events. "The weak" could refer to a newly baptized or newly reactivated witness and lack the experience needed to grow spiritually. Feeling weak or depressed isn't necessarily a sign of spiritual weakness (Job).
What does Jehovah provide to boost our endurance? His word the bible 1 Pet 5: 7,9,10 lists four ways Jehovah can Jehovah can comfort. Prayer, pouring out our "distracting anxieties" specifically to Jehovah. The fact that our brotherhood, from faithful Abel down to today Jehovah is very familiar with what you are facing and has and is helping them. Our Christian hope is another provision that puts things in perspective. Jehovah can use his holy spirit to make us stronger than our anxious thoughts.
Isaiah 57:15 says Jehovah wants to "revive the hearts that are crushed" [bruised, broken, destroyed, or crushed to powder]. We don't know how others are affected by their experiences but we can offer help the following
[/i] Don't get easily offended or try to correct "wild talk" - pray: refer to them by name, express how much how much Jehovah cares about them and mention details of their problem. Include yourself and others so the individual doesn't feel like "a case" commend their faith - offer specific commendation - share a favorite and/or suitable scripture. Avoid a preachy tone.[/li][/ul] VIDEO #1 Mat, a brother loses his wife in death and is encouraged by an older infirm brother, Brothers Tobias, (also a widower). Encouraged to also find someone to help. Brother makes a note to continue to help Mat. CONCLUSION: In this world full of problems Jehovah is comforting us and using us. Follow the suggestions as a guaranteed formular for success.

9:40 SYMPOSIUM: How Jehovah “Supplies Endurance and Comfort” to . . . - PART 2 Those in Material Need (1 Timothy 6:18)
A need is something we must have in order to continue living, in some countries the majority of the population often do not have enough. Others in more affluent countries also are having difficulties because of an unexpected medical expences, poor financial decisions or unemployment. Even those that have made the right decisions but simplied their lives for the kingdom may face material needs. Worrying about this can rob us of our joy. Jehovah is well aware of our material needs and is aware of our tendance to worry, (Mat 6:25, 32-34). Jehovah knows our specific requirement and will help if we continue to prioritize the kingdom. He doesn't promise riches but he does (Ps 72:12,13) Jeremiah was helped through an unlikely source (Chapter 37) and nothing can "seperate us from God's love" Rom 8:35
We can share with others as instructed at I Tim 8: 16, 17 even if we have limited resources. (compare Rom 12:13). Do I take the initiative by showing love and generosity? Do I grumble or view it as a burden? James 2:15,16 tells us to be proactive "just let me know if you need anything" isn't very practical as most prefer to suffer in silence. Being generous with our time, offering practical help, advice about finance 1 Tim 6:8; Lk 14:28) and prayers can help. VIDEO #2 Brother and sister Valez who attended SKE are helped by Mat who listens and encourages them when they face eviction. At Mat's iniative the brothers help rehouse them and give them money. You too can be used by Jehovah if you are generous. OSONGS: #53: Be Courageous and Strongtv.jw.org/#en/mediaitems/VODOriginalSongs/pub-osg_53_VIDEO

9:40 SYMPOSIUM: How Jehovah “Supplies Endurance and Comfort” to . . . - PART 3 “The Fatherless” ( Psalm 82:3)
Life is especially difficult for "the fatherless" ( Psalm 82:3), anybody that is lacking a spiritual head (single parent households, spiritually divided household or youths serving Jehovah without the support of any parent). Jehovah wants us to help these ones. Jehovah considered himself to be a father and protector to those that have none ( Psalm 68:5) Jehovah instructs others in James 1:27 to help those without a spiritual head. Paul was a spiritual mentor to Timothy, not leaving his training to chance (compare 1 Cor 4:17)
#1 Take a sincere interest (name, their experiences), show and express appreciation to them and others for what they do, invite them into the field and age appropriate projects, pray for them.
#2 Be a spiritual mentor: Take them under your wing, help them learn a spiritual routine.
The extent to which young ones progress if effected by the presence or the absence of a spiritual mentor. INTERVIEW Sister that had a spiritual mentor at the age of 13 VIDEO Bro Velez helps Levi, who is suffering because of his parents divorce; encourages him with Ps 27:10 We all feel overwhelmed by our lack of time, but even busy pioneers (like the Velez who are moving house) can be used by Jehovah. We are confident fatherless youths can grow into spiritual adults

9:40 SYMPOSIUM: How Jehovah “Supplies Endurance and Comfort” to . . . - PART 4 Older Ones (Leviticus 19:32)
"Gray hair is a crown of beauty" our older ones are precious to us and to Jehovah. Jehovah provides hope that he will both stop and reverse the aging process restoring our older ones to youthful vitalit (Job 33:24), thus even if "wasting away" outside we can be revitalized spiritually.
Jehovah provides support thought his continuing care which overshadows even the most attentive parent promising to "keep bearing" them (see Isaish 46:10). Jehovah provides support through the practical help of the congregation.
- maintain a respectful attitude for their many years of faithful service. Our regard for our older ones can effect our relationship with Jehovah and is a loving duty (Leviticus 19:32) working what is good "especially to those of the faith" will involve helping with transportation, help with shopping, cooking, telephone tie ins, including them in outings so they are not isolated.
The primary responsibility depends on their children and a review of w14 3/15 p. 23 [honor the Aged] is recommended (1 Tim 5:4). INTERVIEW Elderly sister helped by a loving congregation (Eph 3:20) VIDEO Levi and his mother helps Br Tobias. CONCLUSION Each part of the symposium showed that regardless of our circumstances we can still help someone else.

11:00 SYMPOSIUM: Build a House That Will Endure . . . INTRODUCTION: Family life can be a source of great joy yet there are many challenges, how can you best provide for your family and promote their well being? Building a physical house is challenging, building a spiritual family is even more difficult and success is dependent on Jehovah's blessing. House can refer either to a physical structure or one's family or household. We will consider three challenges and see how we can build a house that will endure VIDEO #1 Video interview of family heads (South America, The Philipines) who struggle to feed their family. Opportunities to leave their family to go to another country to find work or working such long ours that their family suffer. Some view their children as their "retirement plan" discouraging their children from entering the full time service in favor of lucrative career. How can we face the challenge of having little material? We cannot assume if we are poor we do not have a "love of money" ( Hebrews 13:5 ) Contentment is the antidote to the poison of materialism . Rather than being consumed by our future financial security we are told to have faith in Jehovah's guaranteed continued sustainance if we put kingdom interest first, even if that seemed like the last moment (red sea, the assyrians at the gate). Many of Jehovah's people are spiritually poor but rich spiritually, Jehovah provides the necessity while "giving them sleep" ( Psalm 127:2 ). Focus on what you can do rather looking to material things for a sense of self worth. VIDEO #2 Lester & his wife understood that Jehovah does not only shower blessings abroad. They kept their family together and spiritualy prosperous. Rich or poor all of Jehovah's people face problems, if we rely fully on Jehovah we will succeed.

11:00 SYMPOSIUM: Build a House That Will Endure . . . - PART 2 Safeguard Your Children From “What Is Evil” (Romans 16:19; Psalm 127:3)
Our children are a precious reward from Jehovah God and deserve our best effort to safeguard and protect them.
VIDEO #2 Parents commment on the challenges involved in sexual education of their children; single parents, blended families, famibecause talking about sex is in come cultures is taboo; educating a boy when and it is difficult to know how much information to give. Jehovah views the abuse of a child physically emotionally or sexually as abhorent. Parents are the first line of defense seeing the dangers and taking appropriate action ( Pro 22:3). In the majority of sexual abuse cases the perpetuator was someone that is known and trusted by the children. Proverbs says that "wisdom" and "discernment" must be used to identify potential dangers (5): - someone singles out your child for special attention offering gifts, free baby sitting or private outings - being overly phsyical, excessive displays of affection, playful wresting, in appropriate tickleing - a relative unsupervised access to younger siblings - association in places beyond your vision (back of the car, auxilary room, restrooms, playgrounds, swimming pools) - unsupervised used of the internet or social networks EDUCATE YOUR CHILDREN Our children deserve to be educated about proper sexual conduct before the misinformation starts. It is the parents job to help children gain godly wisdom (Eph 6:4). This is a challenge were the speaking of sex is viewed as shocking or fear it will stimulate them to experiment. Responsible parents will discuss sex with their children conveying age appropriate information in ongoing short discussion gradually adding to their knowledge (Deut 6:7). Topics will deal what are proper displays of affection, with appropriate clothing, the need to respect privacy, how to react to pornography, if an adult attempted to seduce them or threatened them. The objective is not to scare our children but to teach them what they need to know so they can recognize the dangers and train their consciences. TOOLS - Video become Jehovah's friend: Protect your children - Book " Learn from the Great teacher": Chapter 32- Articles: Awake N° 5 2016, w10 11/1 (for preschoolers to Adolecents), Awake Oct 2007 VIDEO #3 Parents comment on using the above methods. When Jesus faceda serious threat during his childhood threatened with death at the hands of Herod, Jehovah intervened to save him. Believing parents can be assured that Jehovah will support your efforts to safeguard your precious children (Rom 16:19)
