CAUTION: Answering a question ourselves is like making an appointment with a friend but keaving before they arrrive. Wait for the answer and listen kindly James 1:19
DRAMATIZATION #1: Nina uses thought provoking questions with the expression ... "Did you know ....?", "Do you think ...?"

Like a carpenter we too have "power tools", the word of God is our most effective power tool. When we use the bible we can discern what's in people hearts.(Hebrews 4:12). It is "dynamic" as it comes from the mouth of Jehovah. When we open the bible we are allowing Jehovah to speak
Like Paulwe are joyful when we see Gods word in people 1 Thess 1:9; 2:13.
DRAMATIZATION #2: Nita asks Jade to read a scripture aloud.
Jesus based his teaching completely on Gods word, he read and explained the scripture (compare Luke 4

9:40 SYMPOSIUM: Experience the Joy of Disciple-Making—Improve Your Skills - (PART 3 OF 6) Illustrating Key Points (Matthew 13:34, 35)
Some people are gifted at thinking of effective illustrations others have to work at it. Jesus used illustrations extensively as it is often the most effective way to reach the heart especially if they involve people. They stirr emotions, engages the minds and it's a human face to a point.
DRAMATIZATION #3 Nita and Jade struggles with understanding inherited imperfection:
- illustrate key points
- make it appealing (related to the person)
How to devise effective illustrations: Be observant (Matthew 6:26), Look to the publication INDEX for society illustration
CAUTION: - Keep things simple (shopping) - avoid distractions of minor details
- (PART 4 OF 6) Teaching With Enthusiasm (Romans 12:11)
Good news evokes enthusiasm. We have the best news ever (Isaiah 52:7). Enthusiasm is not just some giddy out
DRAMATIZATION #4 Nita learns the importance of maintaining enthusiasm. She commends Jade and the reaction is immediate.
How to develop enthusiasm
- be "aglow" (lit boiling) get a constant flow of holy spirit (Romans 12:11 )
- Prepare ("stir up") your heart like Ezra by mediating on the importance of what we are teaching (Psalm 45:1).
- meditate like a great blender mediation combines the elements and makes for an excellent spiritual meal
We improve our skills when we maintain our enthusiasm.
How has this information benefited me personally How will this information help th student
CAUTION: Not being overly emotional or be dogmatic
Enthusiasm is contagious (1 Thess 1:5)

9:40 SYMPOSIUM: Experience the Joy of Disciple-Making—Improve Your Skills - (PART 5 OF 6) Showing Empathy (1 Thessalonians 2:7, 8)
The word empathy (the ability to appreciate the feelings and concerns of others) doesnt appear in the 2013 NWT but Jehovah and Jesus are beautiful examples of empathy ( pupil of my eye, I want to . Understand the others thinking, feelings and anxieties. Paul was "gentle" and "tender" . In the human onstext theremis no more poweerul example of empathy than that if a mothef mother for her child (1 Thessalonians 2:7, 8).
Helping bible students means being willing to put their interests before our own.
DRAMATIZATION #5: Nita is sympathetic to Jade who is stressed and disorganized by being observant and provides practical assistance (with God all things are possible)
be Observant...
- What do you know about your student ? - Hobbies ? - Religious background ?
CAUTION When you ask a question be patient, give the student the time to think and respond. Commend them even if the answer wast what was expected. Be careful not to pry or showing inappropriate interest by being overly familiar with the student.
- Help them to apply the counsel
- Avoid the tendency to give superficial advice
- Don't pressure the best change always comes from the inside out
Practical assistance ( transportation) - Ensure your student has wholesome association ("fill the void") include your student in gathering
- Empathy is not "a technique" it is a genuine feeling of the heart
Paul was empathetic like a mother. - (PART 6 OF 6) Reaching the Heart (Proverbs 3:1)
Thee heart represents what a person is inside and his thoughts that effect them. Our teaching needs then to reach our students heart (Mat 13:19; Proverbs 3:1)
DRAMATIZATION #6 Nita helps Jade see the love behind his law on sexual immorality (Isaiah benefit yourself).
Help the student see how their decisions effect their relationship with Jehovah. Dont speak too much but use questions that help them understand "why" "how" Jehovah does what he does.
- keep calm, do not be hurried ( Prov 20:5
How do you feel about... How would you react if ...
Remember
- it takes time for your student To trust you enough to answer such questions
- it takes time to learn to love Jehovah which is the strongest motive 1 John 5:3

11:00 SYMPOSIUM: Experience the Joy of Disciple-Making—Improve Your Skills - (PART 2 OF 3) Our Brothers (1 Peter 5:9)
We have a worldwide brotherhood an help us in the ministry (1 Peter 5:9). The brothers and sister can help us with our bible studies or children despite our limitations. Paul even though experienced had help from Silas (Acts 16:16, 17), (Timothy ) and (Aquila & Prisca who accompanied Paul to Ephesus where the congregation met in their home.
Aquila & Prisca in turn helped (Apollos see Acts 18. Paul viewed them as his fellow workers and greatly appreciated them (Romans 16).
DRAMATIZATION #8: Nita invites many sisters to Jades study The elderly can be helped by younger ones and all can benefit from the help and encouragement from others. It takes humility to accept we need help. Can you think of someone who could give you the help you need. 11:00 SYMPOSIUM: Experience the Joy of Disciple-Making—Improve Your Skills - (PART 3 OF 3) Prayer (Psalm 127:1)
HELP ! People cry this when under threat or in danger. We call to God for assistancen many circumstances (Psalm 30:10).
HELP IN OUR MINISTRY
1. Angelic assistance: if not for the ANGELS we would not reach all honest hearted ones in our preaching work (Rev 14:6)
2. Holy spirit : the fruitage of which makes us effective teachers and helps us draw
3. Prayer (PS 127:1)
4. Needed wisdom: (Jam 3:17)
5. Spiritual and emotional strength (1 Peter 4:17)
DRAMATIZATION #9:Jade is under pressure from school and work and Nita prays for her ( 1 Cor 3:6) Paul prayed that the love for God will abound more fully in those he preached to ( Phil 1:9, 10) We too can pray with and for your students, specifically saying their name ( Psalms 65:2). Be confident Jehovah will answer your prayers and theirs. EXAMPLES: Peter and Cornelius were blessed because they prayed ( Act 10:9, 30-31). When we do not make disciples personally we can still rejoice in the success of others as did John the Baptist and the angels (compare Luke 15:7) [Review main points from symposium] May your joyful friendship with Jehovah last for all eternity ( Psalms 25:19)

11:45 BAPTISM: How Your Baptism Leads to More Happiness ( Proverbs 11:24; Revelation 4:11) INTRODUCTION Jesus taught and lived there is more happiness in giving than jn eceiving. Both Jesus himself and his Father are both happy generous givers. Man created in Gods image also find great joy in giving ( Genesis 1:27; compare Acts 20:35). The disciple making work demands time and effort which must be taken from some other activities (Matthew 28:19, 20). Remember you store engaging in the most important work there is and you are successful even when people reject the message (Matthew 28:19, 20).
It is a grand privilege to be Gods fellow worker and the rewards are great as God will give back more than we give him ( Cor 3:9; Prov 11:24) IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF YOUR MINISTRY
