In the early 80's, a JW inventor named James McCann designed an engine. He sold the exclusive license to his invention to a non-JW named John Robertson. Robertson paid McCann's Corporation (Ram Cam Engine Corp) with stock in Robertson's own Corporation, (Technologies, Inc.) McCann donated the patents rite of the engine to the Watchtower Society with a view that The Society receive a part of any profits made on the transfer of ownership of that engine. So the WTS didn't receive or own any stocks (shares), the Shares of Rand Cam Engine were owned by James McCann, but he donated them to the WTS. The Watchtower Society however would only receive the right to 50% of any profits that arise from ownership of the engine. The Society was not informed at the time of this arrangement. In 1986 it was agreed to form a new corporation which would hold the rights to the Original Engine. The new corporation was RAND. Reg Tech. (RAND Energy). According to letter allegedly received from the Society on this subject, when "circumstances required that rights to ownership and developing the engine be transferred to a holding company ... The Watchtower Society was erroneously listed as a stockholder in information published by the holding company, and this error has now been corrected." The SEC document on the subject states "Mr. McCann has indicated that he donated the shares held by The Watchtower Society to that organization but has retained a voting proxy for those shares." So, while in reality Mr McCann owned the shares in RAND Reg Tech, in financial reporting form it technically lists the name of Mr McCann AND the Watchtower Society because The Watchtower Society had previously been gifted the income rights to the engine through Ram Cam Engine Corp; thus the confusion. The SEC document states that all shares in RAND are held beneficially " Except as noted below" The Watchtower is noted as one of the exceptions (3). CONCLUSION: The Watchtower Society has never owned a beneficiary title to any stock in any military companies. A JW, James McCann, inventor of a particular engine, donated its Patent rites to the Society and listed the Society as joint owner of his own stock. No money was received by the Society during or after the above procedures and the patent rites where subsequently relenquished.
