9:50 Jehovah makes us Bold INTRO: What is a bold person? Is there a difference between a person that is intrepid and bold? The bible explains that our source of boldness. Notice Act 4:13 identifies the Aposles as unlettered men but they spoke with boldness. This doesn't depend on our own personality no rather Ps 138:13 that it depends on Jehovah's holy spirit. The people of the world sometimes seem brave but the bible describes the wicked as "cowards" (compare Prov 28:1). 1. 2. Preaching 3. Moses and Aaron courageously announced Jehovahs judgements to Pharoah. Paul spoke courageously to the the false Prophet Bar Jesus. We too must not be intimidated by people of influence. We must courageously denounce false religion. Another fine example is Timothy. He was relatively young and perhaps a little timid. But sent to correct the congregations he had to speak boldly. We too have to speak boldly in house to house, in public preaching or informally. We will see how to speak boldly in the family, at school or at work, following the examples of men such as Enoch, Moses, Jehoshophat and Paul. Brief overview of program and review questions

Will you support Jehovah's rule even in the face of pressure and temptation?2:15 SYMPOSIUM: Be Bold like ... Binle examples help us to more bold. We will examens them through 3 questions: - Why is it so difficult to be bold? - How can we have the confidence to be bold? - How can imitate positive bible characters? - Enoch lived in violent times. As a servant of Jehovah he was under much pressure (Gen 5:22-24). This was a great responsibility for him, he had to teach his entourage about God. Are we alone in serving Jehovah in our family, in our school? How did Enoch cope? He maintained a close relationsjip with Jehovah and a firm faith (Jude 14:15). We can imitate Enoch by faithfully fulfilling our commission, not onlyhiuse to house but informally to friends and acquaintances.
Demonstration: A brother lacks the courage at first to give and witness at work but mustard courage. CONCLUSION:

2:15 SYMPOSIUM: Be bold like ... - Moses was educated in the royal household but rather than choose a life of was a he sided with God's people to wander 40 years in the wilderness. Moses was humble indeed the most humble men. He fulfilled his mission despite his shortcomings. Imagine Moses before Pharoah (who considered himself a god) sitting on his great palace with and his entourage because he feared Jehovah (Deut 6:24). To fear God is not to have a terror but rather have a profound respect, a fear of displeasing God. A fear that motivates us to do better.
Like Moses we may face a mission we think is impossible, but nothing is impossible for God. Interview : A sister who is very timid and found it very difficult to preach or have parts on the platform. CONCLUSION:

2:15 SYMPOSIUM: Be bold like ... - Jehoshophat: was a Judean king. In 2 Chron 17:34 tells us that Jehovah continuedd with this righteous king. In the northern kingdom there were many bad examples of kings, they were idolators even sacrificing their children to false gods. Yet 2 Chron 17:6 says regarding Jehoshophat "His heart became bold in the ways of Jehovah", even inviting those in the northern kingdom to return to Jehovah, during a great educational campaign. Why was he so successful? Because he relied on his God. He was a spiritual man and studied God's word. Are we willing to imitate Jehoshophat? Cultivate a a love of the word of God, read the binle each day and take time to mediate.
- heed the bible's warnings about bad association (Prov 27:16). Only friends that adore Jehovah can encourage us to serve Jehovah.
Demonstration: A brother gives another brother counsel a about his use of alcoholic beverages. CONCLUSION: If we are serious bible students extracting important principles we too will do what is pleasing to Jehovah

2:15 SYMPOSIUM: Be bold like ... - Peter Jesus changed Simon's name to "peter" which means rock. Peter would indeed be a spiritual rock, stabilising the congregation. However when walking on the water, Peter sank because his faith gave way, and we all know how he denied the Lord three times. Why did this happen? He neglected prayer(see Mark 14:34 ). However the lesson was learnt and after the resurrection things were different. Jeusus sent the holy spirit and the disciples boldly preached the word. And Peter became the rock Jesus knew he could be. He found himself before the same court that had murdered Jesus, how did they react (Act 4:29-31). The holy spirit motivated the entire gruop to keep preaching.
What about us faced with authorities or a situation where we could give an informal witness. Remember our courage comes from Jehovah and that Jehovah will give us the spirit if we ask him (Lk 11:13).
Demonstration: A young witness before his professeur who encourages him to pursue higher studies. CONCLUSION:

11:05 Song No. 69 : and Announcements11:15 Muster Up boldness in the Ministry We face a number of difficulties in preaching. Pail and Silas were imprisoned unjustly and even beaten. Jehovah however made a way out and people came into the truth in the end. Paul told later told the Thesselonicans "For although we had first suffered and been insolently treated in Philippi, as you know, we mustered up boldness by means of our God to tell you the good news of God in the face of much opposition." - 2 Thess 2:2 Interview Brother who overcame difficulties to preach the good news. Focus on the benefits, keep up your enthusiasm. Like Paul remember the preaching work is God's means of saving.

1:10 Musical interude song # :: No. 63, 69, 119, 1:20 Song No. 63: We’re Jehovah’s Witnesses! 1:30 Public Bible Discourse: Take Your Stand for True Worship INTRODUCTION During the reign of the wicked Queen Jezabel the Israeliites had turned the false gods of Baal, Elijah however urged the people to make a decision which God they wanted to serve ( 1 Kings 18:21 ). Jehovah does not share his worship with anyone. Elijah challenged those false worshippers to a test which showed the vanity of their worship (1 King 18:23-29) and how Jehovah is the True God (verses 38-39). As in Elijahs days those in Jesus day had to take stand for the True God recognising Jesus as the Messiah. However some, like Nichodemius, "they loved the glory of men even more than the glory of God" (compare John 12:42-43l). Later however Nichodiemius did take a stand for the truth. How can we too make a wise decision? Jehovah will teach us and guide us (Isaiah 48:17). How does he do thism through his word the bible. However we must make changes to bring our lives in line with Jehovahs standards (1 cor 6:9-11). This is not easy but it is possible, as is evident from the lives of many brothers and sisters who were formerly immoral, alcoholics or lead violent self destructive lifestyles. - Attend all the meetings - Participate - Share the good news with others Not everyone will be happy about your changes so accept you may lose friends and family but you join an international family of believers (Mark 10: 29, 30). Remeber your decsion to serve God makes his heart glad and is the right decision (Rev 4:11). It will, lead to eternal life and happiness. 2:00 Summary of The Watchtower 2:30 Song No. 76 : How Does It Make You Feel? and Announcements

2:15 SYMPOSIUM: Imitate Christ’s Boldness When Facing Pressure ... - The Family Jesus warned that we can expect pressure to compromise our faith from family members (Mat 10:26). Christians must however always act in a calm and dignified manner. Remember the relationship between a man and his wife must be honoured. Turn to Jehovah for strength, pray to him constantly and never allow family feelings make you violate Christian principles.

2:15 SYMPOSIUM: Imitate Christ’s Boldness When Facing Pressure ... - In school Secular education brings certain pressures for Jehovah's servants, the pressure to pursue higher studies, from classmates to be immoral, and to conform to the group think of the world. We must be bold and defend the truth and it's principles. What can we do to sucessfully face such pressures? regularly attend meetings and give a witness when appropriate. Resist the temptation to conform to the world's standards regarding homosexuality and other types of immorality. Do not seek close friendships with schoolmates who do not obey Jehovah rather choose friends from the Christian congregation (James 4:4). Do not submit to accepting to the false theory of evolution so promoted in secular education since logically everything has a creator.
Demonstration :A child, encouraged by her teacher to celebrate unchritian holidays successfully defends her beliefs. CONCLUSION:

2:15 SYMPOSIUM: Imitate Christ’s Boldness When Facing Pressure ... - At Work work is a necessary and desirable part of life after all even Jehovah has kept working. Sadly working in this old system often means stress. What can we do in such cases? For example the pressure to elevate money to a more important place in our lives. Do not fall into the devil's trap of materialistic thinking. Hebrews 3:5-6 urges us to be content with what we have and reply in Jehovah. What should we do if work interferes with our spiritual activities. Jesus kept his life simple so that he could concentrate on spiritual things. Some Christians are missing meetings to spend more time at work, this is a danger? Psalms 127 says unless Jehovah is with us it is in vain to work hard. Only by putting Jehovah in the first place can we enjoy success.
Film clip Gloria and Theo:Gloria refuses her brothers job offer Interview A brother who successfully resisted pressure to work overtime and miss his meetings. - In the community Athletes train hard to be successful in their endeavors. Like athletes we must be ready to overcome many obstacles to be so to be successful spiritual (see Mark 3:9). Christians must be willing to face oposition, persecutions and make sacrifices. Jesus stood before Pilate as a superlative example of facing pressure.
The pressure to stop preaching is great for us all especially in countries were the work is under ban. Peter wrote that the faith of the whole association of brothers gives us hope. We do not panic, not because of our own force but because of our faith on God. We are also under pressure to abandon our brothers and sisters. We do not cease meeting together to encourage each other for under ban and restriction we so need each other. Indeed it is love that will help us to stand firm (1 John 3:16). And when we are involuntarily isolated, like the Apostle Paul during his second imprisonment in Rome, Jesus and Jehovah will stand close to us.

3:40 Your boldness “Will Be Richly Rewarded”INTRODUCTION This program has indeed helped us to be bold . Boldness does not come from ourselves but from God. The bible is full of example of bold witnesses But they all relied on Jehovah. We tok can be as bold if we rely on Jejovahs spirit and put faith in Jesus ( Heb 10:35, 36). How long will we do this ? "For yet “a very little while”. Yes, a little time when we compare our service to the infinitive age of our God. How long has Jehovah been supporting this system? Compared to him we indeed have a little time to endure! So we do not shrink back or give up (verses 38 [/i]Compare Hab 2:4;PS 51:1-3, 15). Even if like Elijah or Jonah we temporarily lose courage we can stand back up. Even Peter submitted to the pressure of a group, but they did not give. They did not turn back to destruction, they were not classified by God as being beyond hope. They benefited from the sacrifice of Christ, to repent and continue on their course. Satan wojld like us to be like Judas Iscariot to renounce serving Jehovah and shrink back to destruction. Neither should we "that we never drift away" ( Heb 2:1). Never be content with a superficial faith, if we are there is the danger of little by little drifting from the truth. A more evident danger is those that deliberately "draw away" ( Heb 2:1). Let us never do anything to offend Jehovah. David , who was a righteous man fell into serious wrong doing. How did he feel? He humbly repented and asked to be resestablished to favor Read Psalms 51. Those that persevere will be granted either immortality in the heavens or everlasting life on the earth, free from sickness and death. That is our sure hope! 4:15 Song No. 119 : We must have the Faith Closing Prayer
