10:00 “Remember the Greatest Commandment” "He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah* your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’" - Mat 22:37INTRODUCTION Christians must strive to cultivate many godly qualities, but the command to Love Jehovah is the greatest of all the commandments (Mat 22:37). Loving Jehovah involves our wholesouled devotion to Him. What does loving Jehovah with our "whole heart, mind and souls" involve?-- Heart: inner person, our emotions, feelings our desires -- Soul: being whole life that we possess, its what we use to serve and to praise Jehovah -- mind: what and how we think about things Mark 12: 30 adds ... -- strength - our power and our actions as a result of the knowledge we have (mind) our feelings (heart). Loving Jehovah also involves having a personal attachment to Jehovah, a close personal friendship with Him; since Jesus indicated this love of God was essential it must logically therefore be possible. For Loyal servants of Jehovah even if it were possible to live independently of God they would choose not to, they love Him so much. The bible contains negative examples of those that neglected their relationship with Jehovah (Adam and Eve, the faithless nation of Israel) but also highlights the benefits of doing so. We can develop a strong bond with Jehovah. i) meditate and reflect on the ways Jehovah has manifested his love for us (John 3:16) ii)meditate and reflect he wants us to be happy and successful as manifest by the wisdom contained in the bible We must maintain our bond with Jehovah through i) Prayer Pour out your heart, express to Jehovah your feelings, emotions and prayers. Linger in prayer and listen to his answers when you read the bible (Ps 62:8) ii) be regular in attendance of Christian meetings iii) Appreciate Jehovah's care by being specific in our prayers and then look for how he answers In order for us to follow and keep the greatest command we need to develop and maintain our relationship. That love will be vital for Armageddon survivors and its love of Jehovah that will help us to be successful though that and through the final test. Jehovah "longs" to be with his friends that have died. Indeed there are many blessing for those that love Him and even today we enjoy spiritual enlightenment and hope.

10:15 Love God, Not the World "Do not love either the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him; 16 because everything in the world - the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but the one who does the will of God remains forever" - 1 John 2:15-17INTRODUCTION There are aspects of life that are completely incompatible with Christian living. Indeed the bible tells us not to "love the world" or the things in it ( 1 John 2:15) Satan tries to lure us into his system and away from Jehovah. i) the desires of the flesh: The Devil wants to exploit any natural desires or even fundamental needs we have to sustain our life. Satan insinuated that Eve for example did not need to obey God to keep livng. In contrast Jesus proved that his love for Jehovah was stronger than any physical desires he might have providing a perfect example (Deut 8:3). QUESTIONS FOR MEDITATION- What do my choices reveal about whom I love the most?
- Am I willing to suffer for what is right?
ii) the desires of the eye: Satan know the appeal of physical appearance. (Gen 3:6). Unlike Eve, Jesus who was shown all the kingdoms of earth, immediately rejected the offer, again by quoting God's word. When we base our decisions on the bible and not on the desire of the eyes, immdiately rejecting any offer that threatens our relationship with God show our love for God ii) the desires of the eye: Adam and Eve showed a prideful attitude, thinking that they could live independent of God. Jesus humbly rejected any prideful display of his position. He didn't need to show off or brag about who he was to do God's will. (ftn 1 Jh 5 "the bragging" of ones possessions). James 4:4 likens unfaithfulness to idolatry. Wanting friendship with this world is tantamount to unfaithfulness to Jehovah. Neither aga, nor experience nor privileges of service render us immune to the danger ( for example Demas, who abandoned the Apostle Paul). CONCLUSION Very soon the great tribulation will test the desires, the love and devotion of every human alive. Those that love Jehovah will survive this systems end and and enjoy the satisfaction of all proper desires.

10:30 Teach others to "love the name of Jehovah" "As for the foreigners who join themselves to Jehovah to minister to him, to "love the name of Jehovah" - Isaiah 56: 6, 7INTRODUCTION: Names identify individuals; Moses requested some identification of the God that was commissioning him, and Jehovah explained he would "become" anything he needs to to accomplish His purpose (Ex 3:13-14) Jehovah also identifies himself as the accomplisher of his will(Isaiah 55: 10, 11). Loving God's name. This means going beyond the definition of the name, appreciating the person behind the name. The bible enables this. Through the bible we can come to understand Jehovah's qualities such as love, mercy, compassion, faithfullness ect. Those that love God's name in turn do everything they can to praise honor and serve him and strive to live in harmony with what he stands for. Truth seekers have manifested a love for the Divine Name throughout history while false religion may be aware of that name, they either ignore it or actively try and hide it(Isaiah 56:6). Today "Foreigners" (earthly subjects of the kingdom) also manifest a love for that name "keeping the Sabbath" meaning giving priority to sacred things and demonstrating their love for Jehovah(see Neh 13:15, 17). Jehovah extends an invitation to worship him at the arrangement Jehovah has put in place (house of prayer) and make sacrifices (Comments at congregations meeting, our prayers and our speaking to others in the christian ministry) and doing good using our skills in theocratic activities. (compare Heb 13: 15, 16) QUESTIONS FOR MEDITATION- Do we give priority to our spirituality?
INTERVIEW: Those that learned and came to love God's name. - What prompted you to learn about Jehovah? - What blessings have you enjoyed from knowing Jehovah's name? CONCLUSION Jesus helped his disciples see the connection between knowing and loving Jehovah and demonstrated how to manifest godly love We must be stimulated to help others to love God's name, using the video(Ps 34:3).

11:05 "Whoever Love God Must Also Love His Brother" "Beloved one, do not imitate what is bad, but imitate what is good. The one who does good originates with God. The one who does bad has not seen God" - Mat 22:37INTRODUCTION children learn by imitation. As Eph 5:1 says, as beloved children of God we are urged to imitate Jehovah. We can imitate God because he created us in his image and knows to a limited extent we can reflect His goodness. Jehovah is sets the ultimate standard of what is good and through the bible instructs us how to be "good" (compare Mk 10:17,18). John wrote that the one that does bad has not "seen God". (Jh 3:11) We see God with the eyes of the heart or the eyes of understanding (Eph 1:18) Many in world act without this sight but Christians are urged to use God's word to increase their understanding of God so as to learn to love and obey him. The more we know Jehovah the more motivated we are to be like him ( Psalm 119:68) When Moses asked to see God, he was lead to understand that goodness encompases many other qualities such as kindness, justice. Goodness also NOT tolerate badness (Ex 34: 6,7)
