10:00“Do Exactly What I Do”"Then he said to them: “Watch me and do exactly what I do. When I come to the edge of the camp, you should do just as I do." - Judges 7:17 INTRODUCTION: Imitation has a powerful influence on people, we learn can even learn from imitating the animal kingdom ( Prov 6:6). Given the power of imitation, we must be careful who or what we choose to imitate because we usually draw close to those we imitate. God's word is full of fine examples of who to imitate. Of course Jehovah and Jesus are perfect example of those worthy of imitation but also faithful men and women of the past. One example of this is Gideon. Gideon's faith is worthy of imitation because he was faithful and loyal to Jehovah God and obeyed Him despite seemingly insummountable odds against him. Despite already being outnumbered, Gideon was instructed to reduce his army to just 300. He didn't react in a physical way but rather he kept things in prospective, realizing that whatever strategy Jehovah adopted would be successful. Further Gideon's 300 were given lamps, jars and horns and were given the unusual instructions not to fight but rather to imitate him, saying "Watch me and do exacly as I do" (Jud 7:17, 19-31). At the " changing of the guards" Gideon's army startled the Midiante soldiers. Unable to give each other instructions the Jehovah ensured that the Midinite soldiers turned on each other in confusion (verse 21, 22) We too can enjoy Jehovah's blessing of complete victory if we faithfully obey instructions given to us from those taking the lead, even if those instructions might seem strange. This program will give us fine instruction as how to "contemplate" (see the positive results of faithful conduct) of faithful men and women past and present (Heb 13:7)

10:15Imitate the Endurance of the Prophets"Brothers, take as a pattern of the suffering of evil and the exercising of patience the prophets who spoke in the name of Jehovah. Look! We consider happy those who have endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome Jehovah* gave, that Jehovah is very tender in affection and merciful." - James 5:10,11
