• Respect for BLOOD [verses 21-27]

"You should burn the graven images of their gods in the fire.+ Do not desire the silver and the gold on them or take it for yourself,+ so that you are not ensnared by it, for it is something detestable to Jehovah your God.+ 26 You must not bring a detestable thing into your house and thereby become something devoted to destruction like it. You should utterly loathe it and absolutely detest it, because it is something devoted to destruction" - Deuteronomy 7:25, 26

"You should completely destroy all the places where the nations you will dispossess have served their gods,+ whether on the high mountains or on the hills or under any luxuriant tree. 3 You should pull down their altars, shatter their sacred pillars,+ burn their sacred poles* in the fire, and cut down the graven images of their gods,+ obliterating their very names from that place.+" - Deuteronomy 12:2, 3

"Those pagan nations worshiped gods whose very existence was a lie and a sham, gods who were portrayed as violent, greedy, and promiscuous. They were unholy in every possible sense. The worship of such gods made people unholy. " ~ cl chapt 3 p. 28 par 10
