HELP YOUR CHILDREN "GO ON WALKING IN THE TRUTH" (3 John 4; 2 Peter 1: 5-11)The privilege to have children is indeed a precious gift from God (Ps 127:3). Do we not take good care of all precious gifts? Taking care of children involves "mentally regulating" them or putting Jehovah's mind into the mind of our child. This requires a lot of work. Children Under trialOur children face firey tests of their faith every day (Compare 1 Cor 3: 12-15; 1 Pet 1:6, 7; 2 Pet 1: 8). [/u] [li] Be a good example. Center you life on Jehovah. Children will see your priorities. Like Jesus, show your children how to live christian lives. Be consistent and recognize the efforts needed are constant. Create a disciplined but loving environment in your home.[/li] [li] Teach them (Deut 6: 5-8; 3 John 4) Satan is waging war on our children for their minds, (for example, they are being taught evolution from a young age) so use the many tools available to teach your children. Remember you need to know what's going on in their minds. Don't over react if they are "thinking crazy".
> Family Worship [idea Role reversal]
> Let your children hear you pray for them. This will touch their hearts.
> Help them enjoy the meetings
[/li] [/ul] >> Interview: Two publishers trained from an early age- How old were you when you made the truth your own?
- What specfic things did your parents do to help you build fire resistant materials?
CONCLUDING SCRIPTURE If you want your children to live forever, help them to develop fire résistent materials (2 Pet 1: 5-7). theworldnewsmedia.org/DC+Talk+-+Sunday+9%3B40am+-+Help+Your+Children+%27Go+On+Walking+in+the+Truth%27+%283+John+4%3B+2+Peter+1%3B5-11%29

INTRODUCTION: This series fortifies our hope in Jehovah's promises. [1] I SHALL DELIVER YOU FROM THEIR SLAVERY (Exodus 6:6): The world is full of those who make promises that are not kept. Jehovah however is the God of truth, it is impossible for him to lie so we can trust everything he says. Joshua affirmed this at Josh 23: 14. [/u] [li] What was the promise? To deliver the nation from Egyptian slavery (Exodus 6:6)[/li] [li] How did it come true? Jehovah removed the obstacles to that freedom by means of a series of plagues and the parting of the Red sea and destroying Pharoah's army.[/li] [li] What do we learn? Have faith in the promises of God even if that faith is tested (opposition)[/li] [/ul]

Public Bible Discourse: WHAT IS TRUTH? (John 18: 38)"Truth" is the state of being, fact. People have been so inundated with falsehoods they, like Pilate, have lost faith that truth even exists. Today we are taught to doubt everything they hear. Those that state that it is there is no truth are of course contradicting themselves. Indeed there are many scientific truths; who of us would dare to board a plane if we didn't have faith in the absolute truth of areodynamics. Further if all ideas are equal (subjective and relative) why do any research at all? Absolute truth is indeed available to those determined to find it (John 18: 37, 38). JESUS CONFIRMS THE TRUTH Jesus' lifecourse confirmed as true everything God affirms as truth. With the affirmative article ("the") Jesus was thus speaking absolute truth. Benefits of recognizing and believing the truth? John 8: 32 we will be "set free". How can we find truth? The truth can be found in the bible (John 8: 31, 32). Finding the true relgion. We should test out that religious truth by making a diligent search(Proverbs 13:15; 1 Thess 5: 21; Prov 3: 1 - 3) We must be receptive and eagre to learn what Jehovah has in store for us. Divine knowledge is treasure. All contradictory ideas cannot be true, so the facts must be investigated in the light of the bible. [/u] [li]What happens when we die? John 11: 43, 44 [/li] [li]What is the hope for the dead? compare Acts 24:15; 1 Cor 15; Malachi 3: 16; Job 14: 14, 15[/li] [/ul] Know the real thing and we will be able to identify a counterfeit. The bible is the reliable source of that truth. Invitation to study with Jehovah's Witnesses and increase confidence in it.

First century Christianity was referred to "the way", we speak of "the truth". It takes great effort to remain firmly set or " strengthened" in the truth ( 2 Peter 2: 1; Luke 22: 32). This takes greate effort. Our being "firmly set" proves the Devil a liar and make Jehovah's heart rejoice. Allow nothing to seperate you from the truth A careless attitude to study and preparation can mean we " drift" from the truth. A rebellious attitude or doubts can lead to a drawing away from the truth (Hebrews 3: 12). Reject wrong desires that could " draw you out" (James 1: 14). Refute deceptive teachings that could " toss you about" (Eph 4: 14). Avoid apostates who could " carry you out" (Col 2:8) and withstand tests so as not to be " shaken about" (Luke 6: 48) Help to stay firm in the truth (2 Peter 1: 10,11)- Meditate on our marvelous hope
- Take not of godly reminders (2 Peter 1: 12, 13) from...
Pay attention as if your life depends on it, because frankly... it does.
(a) Jehovah who cannot lie (b) Jesus (c) faithful slave - Meditate and apply counsel
- Avoid misplaced loyalties (see w97 8/1)
- Avoid over confidence (Solomon, Peter ...)
- Always see Jehovah's reminders as protective not restrictive (Eve)
- Accept counsel (Gal 4: 16)
- Never allow doubts to take root in your heart
CONCLUDING COMMENTS Jehovah blesses the sacrifices made to be at meetings and conventions. The 51 talks of this convention were designed to help us stay firm in the truth. We even now enjoy a spiritual paradise (2 Thess 3: 3)May we all get a firm hold on the real life. In the near future we will see Jehovah fight for us as he did for the Israelites(Exodus 14: 13, 14). Then we will enjoy everlasting blessings so let us "stand firm" - 1 Tim 6: 12, 19; .
