Patience brings peace, with others and with Jehovah. Video Dramatization: Shimei[2 Sam 15:4-6]David Paused and this gave himself time to not just react but to act (Prov 19:11). This allowed him to show insight. Insight allows us to examine the reasons someone is acting, remember our own short comings, see them as Jehovah does - ask why the person is acting or reacting in this way - recognize we have probably done as much - try and imagine that person inperfection love is .... kind Kindess will move us to take the initiative do something for those in need. This isn't always the convienent thing. David was showing kindness to a dead man, choose kindness at all times (Prov 17:17) VIDEO #2 kindness Mephibosheth : [/ul]

9:40 SYMPOSIUM: Remember How Love Behaves ... www.jw.org/en/library/videos/#en/mediaitems/VODBibleAccounts/pub-jwbcov_201905_23_VIDEO[/b] The ability to enjoy the success of others is a mark of Christian maturity. Few things so embitter the human spirit than jealousy (envying others because of the position, accomplishments or advantages they enjoy). It is a selfish destructive emotion that can disrupt the peace of an entire congregation. Improper jealously harms both the person and they envy, it is truly "rottenness to the bones" ( Proverbs 14:30) jealously is often overwhelming, it can eat away at a person, breeding or creating ill health. Video Dramatization: Saul[2 Sam 15:4-6]Does not brag : a bragger or those that "show off" do not promote unity. Love holds us back from flaunting our talents which can cause people to feel inferior. Video Dramatization: Davids modesty [2 Sam 15:4-6]- How important is it to me that others know about my accomplishments? - Do I frequently steer conversations towards myself? - Can I do more to shine the spotlight on others? The more a person tends to focus on themselves the less useful they are to Jehovah ( Prov 27:2)[/list] [li][PART 3 OF 8: DAVID] Does Not Get Puffed Up; Does Not Behave Indecently ( 1 Corinthians 13:4, 5)[/li] It is difficult to get and keep a realstic image of ourselves. Just as the hazy image in a first century mirror is very different to the clear image in a magnifying glass, God's word helps us get a realistic view of ourselves (compare 1 Cor 13:12). As we approach the end, the Kingly Law must become ever more evident to us. One aspect of that law is humility. Humility is illusive but it is one aspect of having "a sound mind" (Romans 12:3)
Video Dramatization: Absolem [2 Sam 15:4-6] Absolem allowed excessive love of self to go to his head. We must avoid being obsessed with position. Only if our humility exceeds our ability can we be used by Jehovah. A person behaves indecently acts in an offensive manner disregarding the feelings of others.
Video Dramatization: Michel [2 Sam 15:4-6]
Michel direspected the amointed of Jehovah. Where could she have learnt this lack of appreciation for sacred thjngs or her attraction to idolatry.
- avoid missing meetings or lack appreciation for spiritual provisions (circuit visits) - avoid being matefialistic, pursingmunnecessary educatio or idolizing public thing
We must avoid that are not befitting, to do so we must see Jehovahs thinking on matters (compare Eph 5:3-4]

9:40 SYMPOSIUM: Remember How Love Behaves ... - [PART 4 OF 8: DAVID] Does Not Look for Its Own Interests; Does Not Become Provoked (1 Corinthians 13:5)
[/b] Love does not insist on its own way. This means we should not think our way is alwaysmthe best or seek to wear people down like Samsons wife or like Absolem using his position to manipulate others ( 1 Corinthians 10:5 24). Rather a David caused much pain by using his, position to seek selfish self interests when he committed adultery with Bathsheba. Humilty motivates us to seek the intersts of others and enable us to see the areas where they are superior to us ( Philippians 2:3, 4). Does not provoked A loving person doesnt easily become offended by what others say and do. There will be times we rightly become upset love will prevent us from ceedjng to outbursts of anger, help us to forgive and forget. (Ephecians 4:26, 27) Davids anger was justified but he didnt wait to react, he allowed is anger to get out of control
- imperfect human anger does not bring about Jehovahs righteousness so control anger before we say or do something before we do something we will regret.
Video Dramatization: Abigail [...]
[li][PART 5 OF 8: DAVID] Does Not Keep Account of the Injury; Does Not Rejoice Over Unrighteousness ( 1 Corinthians 13:5, 6)[/li] Forgiving others is a requirement for having our own sins forgiven. Say a sincere prayer helps to forgive them.( Mat 6:14) A loving person is merciful in imitation of Jehovah who forgives our sins when there is a basis to do so ( Ezekiel 18:21, 22). - Because we love Jehovah we do not seek entertainment from the things God hates
- We do not rejoice when bad things happen to bad people, even if they have hurt us (Prov 17:5)
Video Dramatization: Death of Saul [...] Even though Saul had tried to rui Davids life he took no pleasure in his death (Prov 24:17)

9:40 SYMPOSIUM: Remember How Love Behaves ... - [PART 6 OF 8: DAVID] Rejoices With the Truth; Bears All Things (1 Corinthians 13:6, 7)
Rejoices With the Truth
Video Dramatization: temple request [...]
David must have been crushed to have his request rejected but he remained loyal despite the dissaapointment. We too will be able to cope with loss of assignments or privileges if we remember we are dedicated to Jehovah (Col 3:23)
- adjustments in understanding - organisational changes (restructuring of congrgational assigments, loss of cherished assignments)
Bears all things ...
- Love motivates us to over looks the mistakes of others(Proverbs 17:9) - leave judgement in Jehovahs hands trusting he will handle matters in his due time - Avoid harping on a matter which imbeds our view of a matter (remember we need each other and are all at different stages of our spiritual journey).
- [PART 7 OF 8: DAVID] Believes All Things; Hopes All Things (1 Corinthians 13:7)
Believes all things ...
We protect ourselves and our property but we must be careful not to erect walls of mistrust with our brothers. We belive they have the best motives and avoid being suspicious.
Video Dramatization: David trusts Jonathan [...]
We must develop a loving positive view of our brothers aboiding being suspecious of their motives. Imitate Jehovah who sees the good motives in us (compare Romans 7:22,23).
Love hopes all things...
Never lose hope that disfelowshipped ones will return (Luke chapter 15). We can prepare for this by being ready to "confirm our love" formthem and "forgive and confor them" (see 2 Corinthians 2:6-8)
Video Dramatization: David forgives Abner [...]
Abner was a sworn enemy but he hoped for change.
- [PART 8 OF 8: DAVID] Endures All Things; Love Never Fails (1 Corinthians 13:7, 8)
Love for Jehovah allows us to endure remaining faithful to Jehovah in any circumstance, dissapointments and harddship he may permit whether from inside or outside the congregation. Love allwos us to be supportive of the congregation.
Never let the conduct of others (hurtful remarks, perceived injustice) damage your relationship with Jehovah and stumble you (see footnote Psalms 119:165)
- Avoid negative speech
- Acknowlege we might not have all the facts
- Avoid taking matteds into our own hands
Love never fails ....
Love will always exist because God is eternal and God is love. Our brotherly love can also be eternalAs we study Gods word our hearts can expand to make room for godly love. Do what Jehovah expects now and your heart will catch up later (Psalms 119:32)

11:10 SONG No. 150 [ Seek God for Your Deliverance] and Announcements11:20 PUBLIC BIBLE DISCOURSE: True Love in a Hate-Filled World—Where? ( John 13:34, 35) INTRODUCTON History is filled with hateful acts and violence, hostility and prejudice. This has a negative effect on many who react with violence against injustice. VIDEO True Love in a Hate-Filled World—Where? (Native American /Irish freedom fighter) www.jw.org/en/library/videos/#en/mediaitems/2019Convention/pub-jwbcov_201905_24_VIDEO There is no basis for hatred based on skin colour or ethnicity Acts 17:26. Those that claim love of God but act hatefully are lying 1John 4:8, 20. Indeed "the children of the Devil" are identified by their hatred, which reflects Satan's spirit Eph 2:2 - it's invisible
- it's evasive
- it puts pressure on us Might we be influenced bynthe spirit of this world? Religions that are influenced by the world's spirit cannot help people to overcome hatred. We must therefore look to those that have truly learnt love ( John 13:35 , Mat 5:9). Sacrifices were meaningless if those making them were not at peace ( Mat 5:21-25). Love you enemies, forgive offenders in imitation of Jehovah ( Mat 6:21-25, Mat 7:1-5, 12) Jehovah has brought together a people that reflect true love. #VIDEO How individuals changed This love can be observed at our conventions, it's not an act it's a fact. This love is based on love of God and his righteous standards. Soon only love will exist Psalms 37:34 !

2:20 SONG Convention Song [ Give me courage] and Announcements2:30 “Carefully Consider Jehovah’s Acts of Loyal Love” ( Psalm 107:43; Ephesians 5:1, 2) The Regional convention themes loyalty, courage stirred us to action. The same is true for this years theme, love is more than a tender feeling, it is a force that stirs us to action. Learning to show love loyal now will prepare us for the tribulation which will demand more love than ever.# VIDEO Brother thinks back from the new system about learning to show love. He failed to make time to show love. ( 1 Corinthians 16:14) LOYAL LOVE Loyal love is deep lasting affection( Psalms 107:43) Loyal love is a beautiful aspect of love. Jehovah always shows loyal love to those that remain close to him ( Psalms 103:11, Psalms 107:43). His love is enduring not fickle unlike the crowds that clamoured for Jesus death after praising him days earlier. - Examples of those that showed loyal, Ruth for Naomi, Jonathan for David, Elishah for Elijah.
- Satan's world is lacking in loyal love but we can strive to copy Jehovahs sterling example in showing loyal love.
HOW DOES JEHOVAH SHOW LOYAL LOVE In ancient times Jehovah showed loyal love to - the nation of Israel freeing them from Israel and helping them into the promised land Psalms 107:8 David was a man "agreeable to his heart" and eeven forgave him for his gross sin with Bathsheba.
- He showed David love by sending Nathan to correct his vision by means of an illustration.
- He completely forgave him and referred to him that as a man with a complete heart.
- Even though David died, Jehovah never forgot his promise 2 Kings 8, 2 Kings 19:34. Josiah indirectly benefited from Jehovahs loyal love in three ways a) through the mercy to Mannassah. If Jehovah hadnt shown love and mercy to Menasseh he wouldnt have been around to help Josiah. We to benefit if we have bbeen helped by thosenthat formerly committed serious sin.
# VIDEO EXRACT : Jehovahs forgiveness - conversation with Menassah
b) Josiah benefited from Jehovah's loyal love by giving him good companions such as Zephaniah. We have all felt the influence of positive peer pressure # VIDEO EXRACT
Jehovahs word is a portion of Jehovahs mind in print and he has not let his word be contaminated or destroyed. Thus it serves as a light for immediate decisions and long term plans (Psalms 119:43) # VIDEO EXRACT: reading found scroll
