10:00 Jehovah—Our Source of “Strength and Power”It has never been more difficult to face life's problems. This assembly emphasises the need for us to be strong. Joshua was encouraged to rely on Jehovah. How do we react to tests, we feel numbed, confused, disorientated by trials, whatever they may be. SOJJ: #30: My Father, My God and Friend wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/1102016830Jehovah wants to help us ( Ps. 68:35 ; Pslams 86:3), he does so by means of: - His holy spirit (Deut 34:9) Many of us have mental emotionally or physical
- The angels Joshua lacked experience, had heavy responsibilities and no longer had his long term mentor. Encouragement came from "The Prince of the People" (Joshua 5:13-15). Today we also have angelic support us despite inclement whether, working alone, when under bad or when we have a hostile reaction.
- The bible helps us to keep focused and on course to the Paradise and to Jehovah our best friend. Do we read God's word daily? As Jehovah told Joshua doing so will help us act wisely. When gripped by panic read God's word, comforting scripturesthat assure us of God's personal interest in us
- The brotherhood. Near and far encourage us when we are sick, perhaps terminally so, it is our brothers act as Jehovah's hand in our lives.
Use all the help from Jehovah to acquire strength to face problems, when we are weak we become more rooted learning to live with our problems. Deepen your relationship with him now and learn what Jehovah will do to help us face our trials. Brief overview of program and review questions

10:15 Be Strong—Build Your FaithWhy is essential to strengthen our strength and how can we do so? What would give us the strength to face the blood issue? Hebrews 11:6 says without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith is the "assured expectation of things hoped for", this means we can view things positively looking beyond our present circumstances, it impells us to do Jehoavhs will no matter how difficult. We cannot build tis kn our own we need Jehovah to do this and will need it more as the systems end draws nearer. Strengthening faith- grow in knowledge come to know Jehovah God and his purposes intimately. Our faith like a fire grow if we feed Col 1:9, 10 shows we cannot be satisfied with superficial knowledge. We must set aside time each week to appreciate the what and the why we believe as we do. It will help us to look cor opportunities to express our faith. Abraham probably learnt about the True God from Shem and his faith moves him to greater obedience so he was recognised as his personal friend. - Meditate how Jehovah has helped us personally. ( Psamls 63:6,7) David faced many trials but meditated "during the night watches" (between 10pm and 6am). Use uour sleepless night nkt to worry but to medidate. Abraham nearly lost his wife twice but he could reflect on how Jehovah helped Always remember being a rewarded is an intricate part of who he is Interview a publisher who accounts during his youth and how study helped him. Faith Grows stronger through use and leads to obedient actions. Like a "large shield of faith" will strengthen our resolve to obey Jehovah ( Eph 6:16)

Meeting the challenge being others.10:30 Be Strong—Zealously Preach, Teach, and TrainHaggai Chapter 2 gives much e encouragement to persevere in the preaching. Verse 2-4 Much of our territories are unreceptive, this can effect our level of zeal. We can be encouraged by Jehovah's message in Haggai. At that time the Jews had lost their zeal in rebuilding the temple. They were struggling perhaps because they were relying too much on their own strength. Sometimes we too forget to ask Jehovah for help. We may struggle at times in the preaching work but remeber if we are not relying on Jehovah we are not using all out strength.
Verse 5 When we face challenges we can reflect on Jehovahs help in the past. Do let your zeal be dependent on your results but on knowing we are pleasing Jehovah.
Verse 6-7 Jehovah promised to shake up the opposes, this would reduce opposition. The kingdom message agitated the nation's and at the same time it stirrs the precious things
Verse 8 It would reassure the people that they would get the needed resources to finish the work. In the same way, it takes a lot of time and effort to have a bible study but Jehovah assures us he will care for our material needs as long as we keep kingdom interests first.
- skills - tools
Verse 9 The rebuilt would be greater in terms the number of years 420/580) Jeasus taught there and many more people worshipped their but all this fades in comparison to Jehovah's spiritual temple. Zechariah 8:9 The prophets were a strengthening aid and mature one must train the weaker ones. Interview a brother that received training and his mentor. Like helping a close friend find his lost child we will zealously help and search as long as he does. 10:55 Song No. 7 : Christian Dedication and Announcements

11:05 From a Weak State, Be Made Powerful! We live in the last days, a peroid marked by much distress. We are all enduring trials and feel we cannot endure much longer, indeed life in this world can be hard. Can we be made powerful if we come from a weak state? Yes, if we make Jehovah our Father, our God and our best Friend. Jehovah has promised to help us. THINGS TO REMEMBER - Jehovah is not the cause of our trials he assures us that trials are not an indication we have lost his favour (compare James 1:2-4,13).
- Trials refine us. Jehovha doesn't just leave us our endurance is because Jehovah is giving us the power to endure it. Paul knew that God strengthen people in their weak state and trials we have the example of David and many other men and women of faith were rendered stronge although they were weak (Phil 4:13; Heb 11:32-34)
PSALMS 18 David was initially favoured by Saul but Saul was eventually over taken by jealousy. As a fugitive Davids life was often in danger. If a family member leaves the truth we need a strong resolve to keep Jehovah's statutes. David felt weak ( Psalms 18 superscription). Weakened by dangers disappointments and heart breaking betrayal, David looked to Jehovah for strength. STRENTHENED BY PRAYER [/b]We must beware not to count on our own force, even if so We thjnk we an handle things alone. David returned again and again to Jehovah in prayer to the one that can hear us. [/ul] STRENGTH FROM GODS WORD STRENGTH FROM FELLOW BELIEVERS [/font][/a] " comfort" fnt "strengthning aid". Seeing how the brothers react when there is a natural disaster we see Jehovah's love in action. Support and encouragement helps keep us motivated to continue us in the race for life ( Hebrews 12:1). Remember we are not alone, there are over 8 million people just like you, take courage. [/ul] Isaiah 30:15 You strength will be in staying calm and trust.

Will you support Jehovah's rule even in the face of pressure and temptation?2:15 SYMPOSIUM: Be Strong—Uphold Jehovah’s Sovereignty Youths are subject to wrong desires and a weakness, the battle doesn't have to wear you out. If we only uphold Jehovah's sovereignty out of rear of punishment, we will not continue. If we really love Jehovah , appreciate his rule and loyalty then we will love Him ( Matthew 22:37). Job 2:5 Satan taunted Jehovah we would only serve God when it's easy, be resolved through personal experience (Compare Psalms 119:12). In public or in private we can face tests even unexpected. Demonstration: A sister's friend confines in her that she committed fornication. (A) Her friend covers for her. (B) Her friend encourages her to gontomthe elders. Satan has designed this system to put us in compromising situations, but if we build our friendship with God we make better decisions ( James 4:8 ) Protects us from ourselves Protects us from others Jehovah promises us that he will help us ( Isaiah 41:10). We are proud of our youth, believe in Jehovah that you can be strong. OSONGS: #29: Building My Future With Jehovah tv.jw.org/#en/mediaitems/VODOriginalSongs/pub-osg_29_VIDEO

2:15 SYMPOSIUM: Be Strong—Uphold Jehovah’s Sovereignty
Many couples believe their marriage effects only the two of them, this which decisions they make. When someone else is effected people make more efforts (Mat 22:39). Staying together for the children is good but that is just not enough. True Christians recognise that marriage is a scred arrangement from Jehovah (Matthew 19:6 )COPING WITH PROBLEMS A marriage doesn't have to be perfect to be sacred. If we base our marriage is based on the two greatest commandements uphold Jehovah's sovereignty. Some sadly seek unscriptural divorce or quickly separate, we are accountable to Jehovah for this. Thus we had better searching out and applying bible principles.
Interview: A couple with a good marriage and ask which bible principles help and what blessings have they experienced. Read definition of Loyal love from glossary. Do not use the failings of your mate as an excuse for wrong behaviour. Showing loyal love means we take responsibility for our own failings. Even when only one partner makes an effort we are proving our love for Jehovah's

2:45 Song No. 126 : Christian Dedication and Announcements2:55 “Stand Firm in the Faith, . . . Grow Mighty”It is our personal responsibility to strengthen our relationship with Jehovah. When it comes to physical strength we quickly assess our limits when we face additional challenges. 1 corinthians 16:13; admonishes us to
1) stay awake 2) firm 3) carry on in a manly way 4) grow mighty GROW MIGHTY: What will help us to increase in our strength - We are reassured that Jehovah himself will train us through he organisation, the brothers abut also will himself personally train us and it will be guaranteed to have a good outcome (1 Pet 5:10 ). Jehovah knows our circumstances and personal makeup and will adapt his program for us. Will we allow Jehovah to train us? Are we allowing Jehovah to accept his examination of areas in our lives were we can improve. Are we committed to the program?
- Set progressive intermediate goals. If we are going to achieve the ultimate goal of having a strong relationship with Jehovah. 1) Train your conscience
2) Imitate Christ 1) TRAINING OUR CONSCIENCE God proposed to Jesus as the masterworker that they make man in their image, he effectively was going to attribute humans with a conscience. If we fail to use it in the way it was created we show gross ingratitude for God's gift . Our conscience acts like an internal judge, it helps us to distinguish between right and wrong.( Heb. 5:14, 11-13 ) - becoming "dull" or insensitive to dangers to our relationship with Jehovah
- we need to take in solid food (deeer binle truths) rather yhan stay with the elementary thing (1 Pet 2:2).
- This involves taking knowledge and allowing it to guide us in our decisions (compare Heb 6:1 )
- Press on to maturity. Are we easily offended by the actions of others, adhering to personal not biblical values
- ignoring our conscience will scarr it

2) STRIVING TO IMIATATE THE CHRIST Just as watching an expert makes doing that action easier, watching and actively apply what he learns and imitate his actions and his " mental attitude" ( Rom 15:5 ). We must know not only what he would do and why he did so. In Ephesians 3:16-19 we are enourageed to .... - strengthen the man inside by praying for holy spirit (verse 16)
- Have Christ dwell in our hearts. In my heart am I still entertained by the spirit of the world's (verse 17)
- become rooted in the truth: When battling stormy trials we can be stabalized and nourished by the knowledge
- developing the love of Christ means learning the benefis of imitating Christ by through personal experience. Ephesians 4: 23, 24 encourages us to be Christ-like, it being our dominant mental attitude. We thus avoid worldly thinking and can avoid immoral and deceptive actions (verses 18, 19, 31)
3) DEEPENING OUR APPRECIATION FOR SACRED THINGS Paul refered to Esau warning (Heb. 12:16, 17; Genesis 25:29-32)
- fleshy impatient attitude
- satisfying fleshy desires was more I,portent to him than sacred things
- a disregard for how his actions would effect others.
Are Esau like tendencies showing themselves in our thinking? Jacob on the other hand, was willing to great lengths to obtain Jehovah's blessing because he loved Jehovah, he appreciated sacred thing and had complete confidence in Jehovah's promises(Gen 32:24-28).
Once strong does not mean always strong, we need to exert ourselves vigorously making personal application and continue to do so ( Luke 13:24). We must agonize rather than take the course of least resistance. Are we content to do as little as possible? Remember improvement is always possible so we should not be did purged if so we find ourselves presently in a weakened state; we can accept discipline and ( Heb 12:11-13). So we have no reason to fear as we know Jehovah willrender us ultimately victorious ( 1 Pet 5:10 )!
